Infrared Glasses

Infrared Chalcogenide GlassInfrared Glasses (IG) offer excellent transmission in very wide spectral range covering NIR, MWIR and LWIR. Physical properties such as low dn/dT and low dispersion enable optical designers to engineer color-correcting optical systems without thermal defocusing. Our IR glass is an ideal material for both high performance infrared imaging systems as well as high volume commercial applications. It offers lower and more stable pricing than Germanium. It can be finished with traditional manufacturing technologies, or be molded directly into a finished optic offering a very cost-competitive solution. We have two standard Infrared Glasses- IG111 and IG131.
